What’s in a Song?

Written By: Bre Humphries

A GOOD SONG CAN STIR emotion, arouse nostalgia, or encourage change. Experience the true power of lyrics and melody at the Wire & Wood Songwriter’s Festival, where nationally and locally recognized musicians will tell the stories that inspired their songs. The two-day event takes place October 7 – 8, with six stages featuring more than 30 artists across downtown Alpharetta. The lineup includes local legends like Michelle Malone and Grammy-nominated vocal powerhouse Ruthie Foster. Admission is free. Visit wireandwoodalpharetta.com.
