The Dogwood

Written By: Chloe Carver

OWNER AND RESTAURANTEUR Brandon Lofton of Black Sheep, one of the most beloved restaurants in the Blue Ridge Mountains, has opened a new venture just two doors down from his original estab lishment. Situated in the historic McKinney house, The Dogwood expands upon his original concept to function as a restaurant, a music venue and a gathering space for tourists and locals alike to enjoy.

The menu features comfort food favorites meant to be shared among friends and family. Wine lovers and cocktail enthusiasts can enjoy an ample selection. Those who prefer beer can check out their beer garage, which features more than seventy options and allows customers to curate a unique six-pack combination to bring back to their table.

There are no television screens plastered on the walls or digital menus to be scanned, aspects which have been thoughtfully implemented to eliminate technology and enhance the guest experience. Instead, the space welcomes local musicians to serve as entertainment, and interested musicians, musical acts, and bands are encouraged to inquire about securing a spot on their calendar. 520 W. Main St., Blue Ridge, dogwoodblueridge.com –
