WHETHER WE’RE folding laundry at home or finally hitting the road for a little getaway, we love a good podcast to keep us company. Here are a few of our local favorites, available on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Play.
WIRE TALK – An extension of the Alpharetta-based ministry Birds on a Wire for moms, Wire Talk is a weekly show featuring encouragement and advice from “Mama Bird” Karen Stubbs alongside host Sunny Williams. A Top 100 Kids & Family podcast, Wire Talk offers practical, Biblical advice for mamas with kids of all ages.
TODAY BY THE WAY – After working with digital media in various forms for more than a decade, Alpharetta’s Indiana Adams set out to create what she considers a personal blog of the podcast world with Today By the Way. This is a fun and quirky weekly show where she shares deals, pop culture headlines and general encouragement—all in as little as 15 minutes, aimed at busy women just like her.
THE ATLANTA FOODCAST – We might be biased, but we think Atlanta is one of the greatest cities for eaters, and The Atlanta Foodcast creator Ben Getz agrees. His show features stories from local chefs, culinary entrepreneurs and other big names in the restaurant biz.
A SONG CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE – This digital extension of the beloved Alpharetta concert series Home By Dark spotlights songwriters with concert clips and “Live in Concert” recordings, with new recordings planned to take place at the Alpharetta Arts Center.
