Here Come the Sunflowers

Written By: Bre Humphries

THEY SAY A SUNFLOWER FIELD is like a sky with a thousand suns—this summer, you can bask in their brightness as the stalks at Anderson Sunflower Farm return in full bloom. Located at 3360 Shiloh Road in Cumming, the beautiful family farm has a short window of blooms—about two weeks in July—but boy oh boy, is it a picture-perfect spot for families to enjoy. For $20 per car, you can purchase sunflowers or cut your own, set up a family photo shoot, and even bring your pet along (on a leash, of course!) At press time, dates for the 2021 season were to be determined; keep your eye on andersonsunflowers.com for details.

Also be sure to check out the Sunflower Festival at Copper Creek Farm in Calhoun, which celebrates its grand opening June 10 – 12. Here, you can stroll through thousands of flowers and enjoy farm festivities such as wagon rides, a petting barn and a kids’ splash pad. For more information, visit coppercreekfarm.com.
