An Artful Stroll

Written By: Bre Humphries

PROMOTING ART IN ALL ITS VARIOUS FORMS, the Alpharetta Arts Walking Tour features a series of sculptures around town, and what better time to take an artful stroll than spring? The public art initiative features a temporary open-air sculpture gallery, Omnium Gatherum, behind City Hall at Brooke Street Park, while several other permanent exhibits are peppered around town. Our favorites are those sculptures that pay homage to Alpharetta’s vibrant music scene, such as the stainless steel modern saxophone near Jekyll Brewing. Find a map online at awesomealpharetta.com, and mark your calendar for the city’s spring art events: Paint the Town (May 17–21) and Alpharetta Arts Streetfest (May 28–29).
