This time of year, North Georgia’s wine country beckons wine-lovers to get out and smell the grapes, and in March, the allure is even stronger.
From March 20 to 29, the Winegrowers Association of Georgia is sponsoring its annual Wine Highway Week. For $50, vineyard hoppers will receive a collector’s glass and a passport that includes tastings at 22 participating wineries. Additional offerings at each location will be unique, and may include food and wine pairings, music, library wine tastings and more. (Note: Some events are at an additional cost).
A few of our favorites include Tiger Mountain Vineyards near Clayton, Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris and Kaya Vineyard & Winery in Dahlonega. Be sure to designate a driver, or enlist one of the transportation affiliates recommended at georgiawine.com.
