K&S SOAPWORKS

Written By: Bre Humphries

Not all fundraisers turn into successful, full-fledged business ventures, but that’s exactly what happened when Stephanie Pellock started crafting bath and body products to raise money for a mission trip to Mexico. Inspired by her daughter Kate’s obsession with sugar scrubs, the Milton mama started purchasing natural products she could use to make them herself. The trip fell through, but K&S Soapworks remained standing, meeting so much success in Facebook sales that Kate & Stephanie—along with the rest of their family—soon launched an Etsy store and started wholesaling to local shops. The biz’s small-batch, handmade goods include body butters, sugar scrubs, soaking salts and lip balms in scrumptious scents like honeysuckle and ginger peach. We love the “Virtual Hug” Care Gift Box set, which includes buyer’s choice of body butter and whipped sugar scrub.

Find them at The Gibson Co. in Cumming and online at kandssoapworks.etsy.com
