Come to Hartwell for a fun-filled Saturday that combines three great events! 

The Hartwell Y Olympic and Sprint Triathlons

Lake Hartwell Y Tri takes place at the pristine Big Oaks Recreation Area and offers two race distances to accommodate athletes of all levels. Come race a fast sprint course with a 500m swim, 15 mile bike, and 5K run, or take on a bigger challenge with the Olympic course by swimming 1500m, cycling 40K, and running 10K. Both distances are sure to be fast on this rolling bike course and flat run!  Sponsored by the Bell Family YMCA. Start time 7 a.m. 706-856-9622

Pre-4th Arts & Crafts Festival

Downtown Hartwell on the square. It’s a Hartwell tradition 44 years in the making!  Come to Hartwell’s biggest festival with over 100 arts and crafts vendors, food, kids activities and family fun.  Children’s Patriotic Parade starts at 10 a.m. Sponsored by the Hartwell Service League. 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.  

Pre-4th Fireworks Celebration

Big Oaks Recreation Area. Join us for our annual Pre-4th Fireworks Celebration!  Bring a chair and find a spot for the big fireworks display. There will be food vendors, music, and kids activities on site. The fun starts at 6 p.m., the fireworks display will start after dark (around 9:15ish)! If you want to see the fireworks from your boat just head over to the dam around dusk. 6 – 9:45 p.m. 706-376-8590
