Paint the Town: Alpharetta Plein Air Art Event

Inspired by the French term en plein air, which translates to “outdoors” and refers to the method of painting outdoors, the city of Alpharetta will be hosting a five-day artists invitational where artists from all over the county will participate in painting locations around our city. Those interested in observing are welcome to stop by and can expect a professional and novice competition with awards, a quick draw competition, and a wet paint sale. The event is expected to last each day from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and for those who can’t make it, works of art will be on display at the Alpharetta Arts Center from May 21st until June 4th. awesomealpharetta.com
