Beautiful Briny Sea Salt

Written By: Bre Humphries

Whether you’re preparing for a holiday dinner party or baking a batch of Christmas cookies, Beautiful Briny Sea Salt’s array of offerings will ensure your efforts are both delicious and memorable.

Former restauranteur Suzi Sheffield crafts a creative collection of salt and sugar blends in her studio in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. She starts with solar evaporated and optically cleaned Pacific sea salt and French fleur de sel, and then the fun begins.

“The salt is my canvas, and I get to tell a story with the ingredients,” she says. Her creations are inspired by food memories and favorite flavors, such as French Picnic (a tangy combo of Dijon mustard, garlic and Herbs de Provence) and Campfire, which pays homage to her childhood days in the great outdoors. Ingredients are often locally sourced, including rosemary from Sheffield’s own backyard.

Holiday favorites include Santa Salt, with rosemary and pink peppercorns, and Pocketful of Starlight Vanilla Sugar — St. Nick himself won’t be able to resist.

Find several Beautiful Briny salt and sugar blends locally at CK Morgan & Co. at 102 East Tugalo Street in Toccoa, or buy online at www.beautifulbrinysea.com.
