A Look Behind the Magazine
A Letter From the Editor
I’ve always loved to travel, to take off on that “road less traveled.” A quiet walk in the woods, a sip of wine on a quaint patio drinking in the expansive views or popping into local shops and restaurants savoring the local flavor. When I moved to Georgia twenty years ago, it was all so new and exciting. I loved every single new adventure. I met my husband here and later settled in our nest among the quiet horse pastures of Milton, Georgia. But I’ve still maintained that yearning to fly, to explore. And I hope that is a gift I have passed on to my young daughters, to have a curiosity and thirst for life that is always ready for the next adventure.
And I hope that when you flip through the pages of the new North Georgia Living, it inspires you to explore the many gems to be discovered right in your own back yard. This decade marks the next generation of the nearly 20-year-old Northeast Georgia Living magazine from Royston and I hope it rekindles the curiosity of your youth ‑ the wanderlust and appreciation for the beauty and wonder found throughout North Georgia. Whether you are walking the swinging bridge over the Toccoa River, marveling at “Georgia’s little Grand Canyon” or lacing up your boots for a journey on the legendary Appalachian Trail, I hope you savor every single minute. This is the good stuff. This is North Georgia.
Happy Travels,
